New York CNN —Dozens of men have filed a class action lawsuit alleging Abercrombie & Fitch was complicit in a decade-long sex trafficking scheme carried out by the fashion company’s former CEO. The lawsuit states that, in a series of instances, one aspiring model was invited to multiple Abercrombie & Fitch casting events in New York, France and London, and was sexually assaulted at least seven times at these events. “Sexual exploitation does not discriminate based on gender,” Henderson told CNN in a statement. The courtroom is where we will deal with this matter,” Jeffries’ attorney Brian Bieber told CNN. Days after the BBC report, Abercrombie & Fitch said it had launched its own investigation into the allegations.

NEW YORK (AP) — A former model for Abercrombie & Fitch on Friday sued the fashion retailer, alleging it allowed its former CEO Mike Jeffries to run a sex-trafficking organization during his 22-year tenure. Jeffries, who left Abercrombie in 2014, converted the chain from an struggling retailer of hunting apparel to a seller of must-have teen clothing. The lawsuit comes after a BBC report earlier this month raised similar allegations against Jeffries and his partner Matthew Smith. Abercrombie and Fitch is in the midst of a major comeback, but the retailer is still being haunted by the alleged sins of former chief executive Mike Jeffries. The company was sued Friday for turning a blind eye to Jeffries' alleged misconduct, court records show. He's accused of running a sprawling sex trafficking ring that exploited young men hoping to become models for the brand. It comes just weeks after the BBC published an investigation into Jeffries and Abercrombie that made similar accusations. Following the event, Bradberry was flown to Nice, France, where he was again forced to perform sex acts on Jeffries, the suit states.

New York CNN —Abercrombie & Fitch says it has launched its own investigation into allegations originally published by the BBC that the company’s former CEO, Mike Jeffries, exploited men for sex. “We are appalled and disgusted by the behavior described in the allegations against Mr. Jeffries, whose employment with Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ended in 2014, nearly ten years ago. At least some of the parties are alleged to have occurred while Jeffries was the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch. Jeffries’ attorney, Brian Bieber, provided a response to CNN to the BBC report, saying that “Michael is 79 years old and retired. In years past, he has chosen not to comment on media reports, documentaries, and stories of any kind as they relate to his personal life - and does not plan on doing so now.”Mike Jeffries, former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO, photographed in November 2005.
